For My Abuser
By Jessamine Julian
Your words, like fists, rained upon my head
My pain, your joy - is this my death bed?
We stood so strong. I thought "You are my all."
But now, the end, you created my fall.
Your words, like memory's picture taken
I remember them all and, if I'm not mistaken,
You said them, you meant them, you mean them still.
My soul was shattered. It was your intent to kill.
